Opake uses his art to inspire others – he invited young people who have experienced – or are experiencing – homelessness to his exhibitions and helps young people explore art as a positive outlet. He is known for depicting cartoon characters, using bright colours and bold lines. His art often involves lots of repetition, whether it be cartoon characters blending into each other, folding into each other, or squashing each other.
